Elixir Branding and Packaging Design

For this project, my responsibility was to conceptualize a drink carrier box for the esteemed PGSF student design competition. Delving into the creative process, I chose to focus on crafting an experience around a fictional mocktail brand, "Elixir." This brand stands out for its innovative use of natural ingredients to evoke the essence of alcoholic beverages without the alcohol content.
Drawing inspiration from market trends, I conducted research to identify sectors within the beverage industry poised for significant growth in the coming decade. Among these, mocktails emerge as a compelling contender, projected to witness exponential popularity in the years ahead.

My design process started with looking at photos I had taken of various nature scenes. I wanted to draw inspiration from actual natural scenes I have been in to set up my design thinking towards natural elements. From this, I created the flower graphic seen on the front and sides of the box.

I had multiple iterations of the "Elixir" logo before deciding on a bold sans serif typeface. Inside the type is a color gradient based off of the flavor of the drink. I paired this with a light script typeface to add more soft and natural elements to the design.

Here are more angles of my box design shown in ESKO:

I also created a variable data marketing campaign for the brand which changes based on the customers name and preferences. I used XMPie Ucreate, Excel, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Dimension, and Adobe Illustrator to create these postcards.
